      90th Anniversary

      90th Anniversary of the Battle of Cantigny

      Wednesday May 28

      • Dedication of the newly restored French 75 mm cannon.
      • Cake and punch at 3:00 pm in the lobby.
      • World War I re-enactors with displays of mortars.
      • Specialized World War I tours.
      • Historic Military Vehicle Collection on display outside of the museum.

      Saturday May 31

      • Pigeon demonstrators in the lobby and outside of the museum (Homing Pigeons were used for communication in World War I come see pigeons like the ones that would have been used, write a message and see pigeons released).
      • World War I re-enactors.
      • Children’s Programs including Dress Like a Soldier World War I (try on an authentic uniform from World War I and see some of the tools that would have been issued to the soldiers).
      • Historic Military Vehicle Collection on display outside of the museum.
      • Specialized World War I tours.
      • Wreath laying ceremony in the courtyard of the First Division Museum at 2:00 pm.
      • Newly restored French 75 mm cannon will be on display.
