All Research Inquiries Are Welcome at the McCormick
Research Center
Research services are available to the public seeking
knowledge about the 1st Infantry Division and America’s
military heritage. These services are available to patrons
who either visit or contact the Research Center.
For those who visit in person, the Center’s Reading Room is
open to the public. Research materials are brought from the
Stacks for use in the Reading Room upon request. All
materials are to be kept in the Reading Room. Audio-visual
facilities are also available in this area to view video and
microform materials. The Reading Room also has the latest
military magazines and reference books available for patron
use.
If unable to visit the Research Center in person, research
assistance is available by contacting the Research Historian
by phone, email or letter. Research services and photocopies
are available for a nominal fee.
